Mohammadia Welfare Trust

ABOUT

Who We Are

The Mohammadia Welfare Trust (MWT) is a UK-registered charity established in 2024, focused on alleviating poverty and promoting Islamic teachings. We operate primarily in Sunamganj, Chattak, Bangladesh—a region rich in heritage but challenged by poverty, limited education, poor healthcare access, and frequent natural disasters.

MWT works with local communities, scholars, and global partners to deliver holistic, faith-driven support that creates lasting change.

Our Mission

MWT is a UK-registered Islamic charity dedicated to:

  • Poverty Alleviation – Vocational training, microloans, disaster response.
  • Islamic Education – Madrassahs, Quran classes, scholar training.
  • Community Resilience – Orphan care, healthcare, flood-proof homes.

Why Sunamganj?

  • One of Bangladesh’s most flood-prone regions.
  • High rates of illiteracy & unemployment.
  • Strong Islamic values but limited resources.

“Whoever saves a life, it is as if he has saved all of humanity.” (Quran 5:32)
